Cavaliers Open Up 20-Point Lead in Game 2
The Boston Celtics continued their dominance in the NBA Playoffs, defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 120-113 in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series on Tuesday night.
Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with a dominant performance, scoring 25 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart also contributed with 21 and 19 points, respectively.
The Cavaliers, who held a 20-point lead in the second half of Game 2, were led by Donovan Mitchell's 32 points. Garland added 21 points and Jarrett Allen had a 16-point, 12-rebound double-double.
The Celtics took control of the game in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Cavaliers 34-21. Tatum scored 11 points in the quarter, including a key three-pointer with less than two minutes remaining.
The Celtics will host the Cavaliers in Game 2 on Thursday night at 7:00 PM ET on ESPN.
