Lando Norris takes pole for the 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix. Those final two minutes didn't change. The McLaren driver held off Max Verstappen in a tense qualifying session to take his first pole position in Formula 1.

It was a great result for Norris, who has been in excellent form this season. This is his third podium in the last four races, and he will be hoping to convert that into a win on Sunday.

Verstappen was disappointed to miss out on pole, but he will still be confident of victory. The Red Bull driver has won three of the last four races, and he will be the man to beat in the race.

Lewis Hamilton qualified third for Mercedes. The seven-time world champion has not won a race since the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix, but he will be hoping to end that drought in Hungary.

Ferrari's Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc qualified fourth and fifth respectively. The Italian team has been struggling for pace this season, but they will be hoping to challenge for the podium on Sunday.

The Hungarian Grand Prix is one of the most challenging races on the Formula 1 calendar. The track is narrow and twisty, and there are few overtaking opportunities.

The race is likely to be decided by strategy and tyre management. The teams will need to make the right calls on when to pit, and they will need to manage their tyres carefully to avoid punctures.

The 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix is set to be a thrilling race. With so many different teams and drivers in contention, it is impossible to predict who will win.
